Kim's session: The seven habits of highly effective networkers

Kim McGuinness is Managing Director of Network Central, founder of the enormously successful Businesswomen's Breakfast Series and one of Australia's leading commentators on networking style and practice.

Kim believes networking is much more than shaking hands and handing out business cards and has built a loyal and successful following through her five star events and programs over the last ten years. She personally coaches many of her 10,000+ network on successful networking practice and procedure and has members from a diverse range of companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Australia Post, Pfizer, NRMA, Toyota Financial Services, IBM and Microsoft.

Prior to establishing Network Central, Kim was responsible for the education of many business leaders through her role as Manager, Business Briefings and Events at Australian Business Ltd and prior to that as Events Manager for Business Sydney Newspaper. She has tertiary qualifications in Business (Marketing) and has completed postgraduate courses in Psychology and Information Technology.

Kim was a finalist in the Sydney Business Review's Businesswoman of the Year Award in 2003 and was nominated for the Telstra Businesswoman of the Year Award in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

A co-author of Network or Perish - Learn the Secrets of Master Networkers, her writing is also featured in Secrets of Inspiring Women Exposed which was released in 2007.
