Key supporters of our first event in 2008, the NSW Department of Industry and Investment (DII) has happily agreed to again endorse and support Flying Solo LIVE! 2009 and make it a key activity of their Small Business September initiative.

Diary permitting, Steve Whan, Minister for Small Business will officially open this year's event. In the meantime, here's a personal message from him.

The Department of Industry and Investment is the New South Wales Government's business development agency.  DII delivers programs and services that meet the needs of people operating established small and medium-sized business, as well as new starters in business, in metropolitan and regional locations.

A range of services are offered that helps business people at all stages: from getting started, employing people, to adopting new technologies, taking the first steps to export and entering new overseas markets. 

As part of DIIs support of small and medium sized business, Small Business September is hosted to highlight the important role of small business to the social and economic fabric of the State.
